Minecraft Factions servers

Faction servers are considered by players to be one of the toughest gamemodes. It's a team based mode, so players joining a Factions server must decide on either creating their own faction or joining an already existing one as running solo is generally not recommended. From there, factions claim land and build bases that protect their farms, which help them earn money used to purchase spawners and increase their faction's value.

None of it is permanent though since most servers run frequent seasons where the map completely resets, giving everyone a fresh chance to compete and climb the leaderboards. When a faction server does reset it usually starts with a grace period, typically lasting around a week where TNT cannons are disabled. Once the grace period ends, raiding opens up. Factions are able to cannon their way through enemy walls, PvP whoever is defending, and take their spawners and loot.
